Mandarinquats

Mandarinquats are a cross between a mandarin and a kumquat. This fruit is bright orange in color, bell-shaped and larger than a typical kumquat at about 2 inches long.

    The peel is very sweet and is eaten along with the tart flesh. Slice in quarters for a lovely garnish or simmer the sweet peel in sugar syrup for a great combination with roast duck.
