Single serving sized with an oval shape and deep yellow ridges, Korean Melons have a juicy white flesh. They also have a large seed cavity in the center filled with edible seeds. Their flavor profile is reminiscent of cantaloupe, pear and banana.
As a appitizer, cube or make into melon balls or slice and wrap with a thin slice of prosciutto. Unripe melon can be served with a splash of orange liqueur, orange or other citrus juice, a sprinkle of sugar and minced candied ginger. Korean melons are best served chilled. Chop and add to sweet or green salads, or use to make smoothies, ice cream and other frozen desserts.
