There are now over 1,000 different varieties including Kent, Haden, Keitt, Ataulfo--with the Tommy Atkins being the most widely purchased by American consumers. Organic Mangos have a regular oval, has yellowish-orange with deep red to purple blush on its skin, and is juicy but firm with medium fiber. Mangos contain enzymes useful for tenderizing meats and also acts as a digestive aid. The fruit may be added to salads or used in vegetable or poultry dishes.
