Organic Nectarines (White)
Organic White Nectarines are slightly sweeter than yellow nectarines, in fact, the white nectarine tastes just as sweet right after it is harvested as it does when it has softened, while a yellow nectarine gradually sweetens as it becomes soft. Like traditional nectarines the amount of red or pink will differ with each variety, but has no bearing on the ripeness. Unlike peaches, raw or cooked, the skin does not have to be peeled prior to preparation. They are eaten raw, jellied, cooked or candied. Use in salsas with spicy peppers or add their succulent sweetness to flavor ice cream, sorbet, pies, quick breads, tarts and cakes. Blend into yogurt or add chunks to fruit salads. Use as a healthy topping for cereal, pancakes, French toast or waffles.
