Organic produce is grown with no chemical pesticides or fungicides and third party certified as being organically grown in accordance with the guidelines mandated by the USDA's Organic Foods Production Act of 2002.
Organic Peppers (Shishito)
Shishito Peppers are slender Japanese peppers about 2-4 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide. The end opposite to the stem is squarish while the flesh walls are thin. About 1 in every 10 is hot, be sure to poke a hole in them prior to cooking so they don't burst from the heat. Roast in the oven or a sauté pan for a few minutes, then toss with Asian condiments and quickly serve.
