The name of this variety refers to its extremely high sugar content when compared to other Fuyu varieties. The Sweet Pumpkin Persimmon is ready to eat when it is firm, like an apple. Because of its sweet flavor this variety can be cooked, candied as well as added to salads and baked goods.
