Organic Squash (Acorn, Green)
Acorn Squash is named for its distinct size and shape. It has a hard, green-black skin with wide ribs, and fibrous flesh. They taste mildly sweet, similar to a combination of hazelnuts and black pepper. When cooked, they have a creamy consistency. Organic Green Acorn Squash are easy to enjoy after removing the seeds and baked or used in casseroles. For variety, hollow out the squash and stuff with bread stuffing or a rice and meat mixture.
