Cayenne Peppers are green and mature to a shiny bright red pepper used in many types of cuisines to flavor and add heat to recipes. The red colored peppers are spicier than the green.
Remove the seeds to make this pepper less spicy, and cutting out the white ribs of the pepper will also reduce the heat. Once chopped, they can be added into an assortment of dishes: stir-fries, sautés, stews, pickles and much more. Gloves may be worn when handling fresh Cayenne Peppers, as they can irritate the skin and mucous membranes.
